Federal Solutions

Infrastructure intelligence built around federal reporting standards

Maplyzer's roadway asset detection is built to produce MIRE-compliant, audit-ready records and grew out of applied research work presented at GIS-T, the AASHTO-affiliated symposium that brings together FHWA, state DOTs, and the broader transportation research community.

Where Maplyzer Fits

Capabilities that map to federal transportation priorities

PRIORITY 01

MIRE & Data Standards

Asset detection captures the elements required for Model Inventory of Roadway Elements (MIRE) reporting as part of the same automated pass.

PRIORITY 02

Digital Infrastructure

A structured, queryable asset inventory that replaces spreadsheets and paper records with a current digital source of truth.

PRIORITY 03

ITS & TSMO

Current, geo-located asset and condition data to support Intelligent Transportation Systems and Transportation Systems Management & Operations programs.

PRIORITY 04

Research & AI

Detection and geolocalization models developed with the University of Vermont's AI research lab, presented at GIS-T from 2019 through 2023.

PRIORITY 05

GIS Interoperability

Results integrate with ArcGIS base maps and existing Linear Referencing Systems rather than requiring a parallel data system.

PRIORITY 06

Safety Reporting

Change detection and visibility analysis produce a documented record to support safety and liability review.

GIS-T Symposium
Research Pedigree

Built from applied research, not a pitch deck

Maplyzer's detection and geolocalization technology originated in a partnership between the University of Vermont's AI research lab and the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans), running from 2018 through 2023. That work annotated traffic sign datasets, GPS-aware detection models, and geolocalization systems has been presented at the GIS-T Symposium in every year from 2019 to 2023.
